The Old Rectory Estate, Surrey
I am proud to be one of The Old Rectory Estate’s preferred wedding suppliers – the historic Georgian house sits in the Surrey hills and makes for the perfect back drop to a wedding day. The house is set in 8 acres of stunning Italian gardens which include water features, statues, topiary, arbours and a rose walk. Making those wedding photos truly unforgettable. The house and gardens are also used in film, TV and magazines!
I met the bride at her family home surrounded by her bridesmaids and close family, champagne was flowing and everyone just looked so happy, no nerves in sight! I then went over the road (quite literally) to where the groom was getting ready, there was an equally fun atmosphere and we got some great shots of all the boys together before the big day ahead.
There was a huge marquee in the beautiful grounds of The Old Rectory Estate where the ceremony took place, after some very moving vows the couple left the marquee as husband and wife!
The weather wasn’t that kind to us even though it was the middle of June but they do say that a little rain on your wedding day is good luck! Luckily we had some sunny moments where we captured some beautiful shots of the new Mr & Mrs. After getting stuck into the biggest canapé board I’ve ever seen the guests took their seats to enjoy the beautiful speeches and hog roast. With space hoppers, a gin bar and a photobooth it made for a great evening! I know everyone is ridiculously happy on their wedding day but this couple really did go above and beyond, their smiles and laughter were contagious and it was a pleasure to capture.
